Last night I was invited along to Thorpe Park after hours to check out their brand new ride, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train. I’m not going to lie I felt more than special being able to go into the theme park after everyone else had left, and going on rollercoasters in the dark definitely added to how terrifying I found them - especially Stealth, was totally not prepared for that!
We arrived at the park after an hour and a half taxi journey from London and headed to the bar to grab some food before heading straight to the main attraction: Derren Brown’s Ghost Train. Despite the park being closed the queue was very long (I suppose everyone was there for the same reason), but like the typical 21st century human we all caught Pokemon in the queue and time went quickly.
There are two check points before you get to the main experience, where you have to be checked for infection, and then you head into the space in a group of about 20. As you step inside a disused warehouse, a projection of Derren Brown appears and he talks you through your reason for thrill-seeking and prepares you for what he describes as his reinvention of the ghost train before you step onto an old Victorian train carriage and take a seat.
Now I’d be totally ruining your experience if I gave anything else away, but I completely loved this very unique psychological attraction and would totally recommend you heading along to try it for yourself. If you’re interested in reading more then check out Thorpe Park’s website here.
As I’ve been enjoying the London heatwave I decided to wear this incredible top and shorts from N12H, with my new favourite Adidas Superstars which are white and rose gold. My jacket is an old one from Oasis and the flower in my hand was given to me by the cutest kid ever who ran up to me handing me it - and it perfectly matched my outfit!
Outfit:
Bustier Top: N12H
Shorts: N12H
Trainers: Adidas Originals Superstars from JD Sport
I’d love to know what you think of the ride if you end up checking it out for yourself. Hope you have a good Friday and don’t forget to check out my Hoxton Radio show 2pm - 4pm today.
Speak to you very soon,
