#BTS Lingerie Shoot for Underlines Magazine
Yesterday I had a shoot for Underlines Magazine, which is a trade magazine for the lingerie industry.
You have probably figured out by now (or if not you soon will), that I am OBSESSED with lingerie. I want to be the face of every single brand, and also want to collaborate with a company to bring out my own range. Underwear is so important to me because, growing up as a bustier girl, I felt like there was no nice underwear available to me. As I've got older I've discovered so many amazing brands that do cater for women above a D cup and, as my underwear becomes nicer, the more comfortable and confident I am in my body.
For me, the best about being a model is getting to work with some amazing make up artists. I love to be really inquisitive and pick up tips on application and the best products. For this shoot I had the pleasure of working with Carol Morley, who has worked with so many amazing brands and celebrities, and is also just lovely.
Carol used some products that I totally swear by, and I also discovered some other great products. Benefit Porefessional, Armani foundation, and Touch Éclat were just a few of her staple items. I've been recommended Armani foundation by so many people, but there's always something more trustworthy in an amazing make up artist telling you it's the best out there, so I really do need to invest in it now. Another product that stood out to me was the Cover Fix powder. It's a little bit like a face powder but it isn't matte so it takes away unwanted shine without making your skin look dull. I would love to hear what products you can't live without so I can try them out too?
Carol created a really natural look, with a brown smokey eye. A lot of the time I don't like the make up on shoots because it's very heavy, but I'd actually wear this look out - and I actually did wear it out to an event afterwards.
I also loved my hair and would wear it like that in the day. Carol liked the texture of my naturally messy hair, so didn't brush it and just used a tong to create some waves. I usually use Babyliss heated rollers when I do my hair myself, but I think the tongs would be much easier and would probably take less of my time - can any of you recommend any good tongs? Or other easy hair curling solutions?
The shoot is for a 13 page editorial which will be in their next issue, and I got to wear a range underwear from so many different brands. 13 pages means 13 different looks so not only did I get to discover an amazing range of brands, I also had to shoot in different places including the wintery outdoors!
I've always loved Fauve (see the picture above), so it's no surprise I loved that bra. The best new discoveries I made were Elle Macpherson's range, and also a German brand called Mey - despite the rather large pants.
The shoot is going to be out towards the end of February so keep an eye out for the photos! If you want to book me for work please contact Milk Management!
Until next time... X
