OOTD | Casual Day Dress

It's Thursday which means it's almost the weekend... well, technically the prekend, AND apparently it's going to be sunny this weekend. FINGERS CROSSED!

Whether you're planning a BBQ, a picnic in the park or just a day out shopping with friends I thought I'd share with you the perfect day time dress. I've matching it with my current favourite shoes, my Keds, as they're super comfortable and keep the dress feeling very relaxed. I've kept accessories to a minimum because of the shirt and lace detailing in the dress, but added simple gold hoop earrings to give the outfit a bit of an edgier look.

OOTD | Platforms & Flares

I remember when people started wearing skinny jeans I thought they were the most hideous and unflattering things ever and vowed I'd never wear them. Long live boot cut jeans. Almost a decade later I can honestly say I've barely worn anything other than skinny jeans or jeggings and I certainly didn't think I'd be writing a post about wearing flares. This is actually my second outfit post about flares, although last year when I wore them I don't think they'd quite caught on!

I adore these light wash flares and I've gone to town with the 70's trend wearing them with tan colours and platforms.

I've kept my accessories black to tie in the leopard print and my shades. This handbag is amazing as it has lots of different compartments and a pull out clutch if you want to switch from day to night. Both the bag and watch have really nice rose gold details.

OOTD - New York Style

I have to say I found it really hard to dress appropriately in New York. Outside it was hot, a little muggy, or there would be torrential rain and thunderstorms, whereas when you went indoors it was like stepping into the Arctic. I absolutely adore the States, especially New York, but the one thing I don't get is the fascination with air con. There is literally air con in every single building and it chills me to my very bones. It's the devil!

image.jpg

I decided to layer my clothes with a big duster coat from Oasis which is loved by my absolute girl crush Mollie King. It's easy to take on and off and I think looks super stylish. Underneath I wore my crop top from my newest discovery, eco-friendly and the all round amazing Reformation. I wore these with cropped white jeans, which kept me warm indoors but also reflected the heat outdoors.

For footwear I needed to stick to something comfortable for a day shopping in the city so I wore my botanical flower print Keds. These are genuinely the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I am actually interested to know what you think the comfiest footwear is as I would almost put money on them being Keds!

I accessorised with some super cool retro Tom Fraud shades and my favourite necklace from Claire's Accessories. I kid you not about three seperate people came up to my in designer department store Sak's to tell me how nice many necklace was and there were amazed it wasn't designer!

I kept my hair in a very messy bun and added some red lipstick in order to distract attention away from my jet lagged eyes. This is my favourite shade of red lipstick I've ever come across, and I also think it goes really well with the khaki and black of my outfit.

OOTD | Green & Grey

The sun might be shining but damnnnn the wind is chilly. I'm running around a lot today so wanted a very casual outfit that would keep me warm.

I've chosen light jeans, night lips, and bold jewellery to brighten up my look a little. I adore both pieces of jewellery because of their meaning. My brother got me the bracelet when he was travelling in Africa - I always love gifts like this because it means someone was thinking of me whilst away- thanks bro :)

I've talked about the necklace before in this post from Morocco , but it's a healing mala by the very talented Elizabeth Caroline. The grey agate grounds the energy field whilst bringing strength and courage whilst the green of the tassel is the colour symbolic of the heart chakra as well as of money and prosperity. 100% of the profits of this necklace go to an animal charity too! Elizabeth gave me an amazing facial on Saturday to help me with my bad skin, and I have been living in this necklace since.

The black jumper has the most incredible lace detailing on the back, and the coat is actually just a duster coat so is very lightweight.

Outfit:

Grey Jeans: Love Label, Very

Jumper: Coast

Duster Coat: Oasis

Silver Shoes: Fearne Cotton for Very

Handbag: Marks & Spencer - unfortunately I got this a few seasons ago so it's no longer for sale

Necklace: Elizabeth Caroline Jewellery

OOTD | Sunshine and Suede

The sun is out so I think that means we should get our legs out whilst we have the chance! I am loving the 70s trend at the moment and found this amazing suede skirt on the high street. `I also love this fringed bag, which is so on trend and perfect for summer festivals.

Outfit:

Top: Topshop

Skirt: Miss Selfridge

Shoes: Carvela for Kurt Geiger

Necklace: New Look

Handbag: New Look

Sungalsses: Primark

Let me know what you think of this outfit :)

Enjoy the sunshine, and until next time... x

OOTD | Lazy Easter Monday

The best thing about it being Easter Monday would have to be the fact we can lie in bed and not feel guilty. We do have lots of chocolate feasting to recover from after all.

When it comes to what to wear in bed, I absolutely love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's collection for Marks & Spencer, check out her full collection here. I snapped these pics whilst staying in the Riad de Joya in Morocco - check out my morrocan adventures here

Outfit:

Pink silk playsuit: Rosie for Autograph

This colour actually isn't available anymore but this one is really similar.

I love the neutral tones of the new collection too so make sure you check it out. It's so comfortable but also super sexy - the kind of nightwear you could wear when your boyfriend comes to stay without him thinking you've made too much of an effort! I'm equally as comfortable wearing this if I'm sharing a bed with a friend or a sister!

Let me know what you think of this outfit.

Lingerie of the Week | Beach Bikini

Instead of doing a lingerie post, I thought I'd carry on with my Moroccan theme and show off my swimwear - it is nearly summer after all!

I love this swimsuit, although you'd have to be careful not to get some rather dodgy tan lines!

OOTD:

Swimsuit: Lipsy

Lipsy have a nice selection of swimwear, check the rest of the collection out here.

I have some more amazing bikinis to show you, I'll be posting one every Saturday for the next few weeks.

Until next time... x

OOTD | Moroccan adventures

Sorry I haven't posted any outfit posts for a while. I've been so busy moving house, working, and in Morocco! You can read about / see photos of my trip here if you're interested, and I have so many amazing outfit posts to share with you this week. I am totally obsessed with khaki right now, so my holiday wardrobe is very khaki heavy, like in this outfit. My love for American Eagle jeans also grows with these amazing white jeggings.

OOTD | Moroccan Motivation

I always take my running kit with me abroad because if I pack it I feel too guilty to not use it, at least if only a couple of times. I absolutely love this new print sportswear from Lipsy, especially with the subtle addition of orange - perfect for summer.   I was a big fan of the last collection too, you can see one of my previous fitness OOTD posts here

Admittedly I never went running in Marrakech, but I did do lots of sit ups from the comfort of the Riad.

Denim is a big trend this season, which is amazing because I absolutely love rocking double denim. I've teamed a silver embellished shirt with silver brogues. These jeans are my absolutely favourite because - check out lace detail in the rips.

Outfit:

Denim Shirt: Joules

Ripped Jeans: American Eagle

OOTD | Channeling Chanel

I must admit this is the second time I've played around with this amazing dogtooth suit from Rosie Fortescue's collection. The first outfit I put together was very safe - I love it, but looking back it's much more obviously and formal. I personally prefer making this dogtooth suit more casual with a white tee and these amazing silver shoes. I wore this outfit to Fashion Week and got photographed for Vogue Japan, which was very exciting for me, so I hope you like how I styled it too :)

I thought I'd show it how I styled it a few weeks ago - as you can see it makes the suit look totally different. Which way do you prefer it, I'd love to hear your thoughts?

OOTD | That's Asda Price!

When I was 15 I had a top from Asda that I absolutely loved. People would always ask me where it was from and be shocked to know it was George. That said, I haven't considered shopping at George for years!

A few months ago I went along to their fashion show, and loved the clothes, and recently got this jumpsuit. I love it, it feels good quality, and is a bargain. That's Asda Price! (Sorry, I couldn't resist). I wore this jumpsuit out recently and it definitely turned heads. I'd love to know what you think of it.

The jumpsuit has very subtle white patterns in the print so I decided to accessories with white. Black, grey, or neon yellow could look equally as good depending what look you want!

OOTD:

Jumpsuit: George at Asda

Shoes: Topshop - these are no longer available but you can get similar shoes here or here

Handbag: Miss Selfridge

Bangle: SW11 Whistle & Bango

Rings: Katy Perry for Claire's

I wore this jumpsuit to a product launch last week, but decided to accessories with a black python clutch and drop earrings.

Clutch: Carnet de Mode

Have you guys bought from George before? Let me know if this post has inspired you! :)

OOTD | Kardashian Collection

I am loving Autumn so far - it's still nice and sunny and warm, but the world looks beautiful with all its Autumnal colours, especially at Langar Hall - did you see my post about my stay there? I'm wearing a lot of greys and blacks at the moment, which I'm loving after a colourful summer. I love the top as it's got a pop of burnt orange, which makes it perfect for Autumn. It's part of the Kardashian collection at Lipsy - I was lucky enough to go to the UK launch hosted by Khloe Kardashian - my fave Kardashian. Anyway, I let the top take the attention and wore it with my favourite black jeans, my new boots, and some black Ray-Bans. I accentuated the colour of my outfit with an SW3 Chelsea bangle, which I stacked with a black SW11 bangle.

Outfit:

Top: Cheetah, Kardashian for Lipsy - the T-shirt is sold out but I saw you can buy the vest here

Jeans: New Look

Boots: Oasis

Bangles: Whistle & Bango SW3 & SW11

Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Leather Wayfarers

Let me know what you think of this quite simple outfit.

Winter Warmers | Scarlett Black London

You may have gathered from my previous outfit post that I am very excited for the weather to get colder. Well I decided to celebrate my excitement, and my love of a young British designer, my ever so talented friend Eliza, who has a brand called Scarlett Black London. She makes high quality clothing that is both classic and sexy.

I recently shot some photos for the new collection on her website, so I thought I'd share it with you on here as I absolutely loved the pieces and thought they'd be perfect for when the weather gets colder. Plus I'm all for supporting up and coming designers!

I must warn you that the following items are made of rabbit fur. Now I know this might upset some of you so please just go to another post. I never buy fur, I own one fur coat which was handed down to me. I think it's acceptable to wear vintage as you aren't encouraging the trade. The fur Scarlett Black uses is from animals used for food, so I suppose it depends on what your view is on that. I know it won't be for everyone and that's acceptable, but for those of you still with me, check out these beautiful and WARM pieces:

Cream Fur Gilet

Cream Fur Jacket

Let me know what you think of her collection, and if you end up buying any of the pieces. She has incredible scarves on her website so make sure you check them out too.
