OOTD | LFW Outfit 1

I was extremely fickle for my first London Fashion week outfit, so this post kind of shows the different ways you can wear floral trousers! I wanted a good casual day time look as I had my radio show before having to go to my first show, so this is a very casual daytime look. Oh, and the trousers are currently in the sale too :)

I'm a big fan of the navy Lipsy coat, it's super warm and it always gets lots of compliments when I wear it too.

My favourite coats | Winter Warmers

I don't want to sound like a massive Game of Thrones nerd, but Winter is Coming (ok, I'm a massive Game of Thrones nerd). The thing I love the most about the arrival of the cold weather is the fact we can change up our wardrobes and get our coats out.

Despite hating cold weather I love wearing winter coats, and especially love finding little keepsakes in my pockets from the previous winter.

I love my pre-existing coat collection, but also found some incredible coats that are currently in store, so I thought I'd open up my winter wardrobe to show you my favourite outerwear, which will hopefully give you some inspiration.

Casual

Definitely not for the frosty days, but these are the coats I like to wear for those warm Autumn days.

The leather jacket is perfect for giving an edgier look to any outfit - whether it's jeans and a T-shirt or a dress. I've owned this leather jacket for two years and it's still in perfect condition. The great thing about a leather jacket is that they never date, so you it's worth paying the money for a one that will last.

I was given the Barbour quilted jacket as a leaving present from my friend Holly when I left my job as the manager of Abercrombie & Fitch. Again, it's a classic that is just as perfect for a walk in the countryside or a casual stroll through London.

Next the bomber jacket. I am such a big fan of bomber jackets, and I love the Autumnal colour of this one. It can brighten up a very plain outfit, as you can see in the photograph, although it's more likely to date than the others, it's in store now!

Classic

You absolutely need to have a coat that you can live in over summer, whether formal or informal. I've invested in a few different coats for different occasions.

I love the grey and black polka dot coat, it's really nicely fitted but the print is very stand-out. I like wearing this with an all black outfit so give it some personality. Despite being patterned it's the type of coat that won't become out of fashion in the future.

I've been loving bright colours over Autumn, especially burnt orange, and it's nice to stand out from the crowd sometimes. I bought this boyfriend coat in a size 16 so it's oversized, and I love how effortless it is.

Finally my beloved black cape coat. Obviously the short sleeves will post a problem when the weather turns frosty, but this coat is so elegant and chic, and I've been getting so many compliments when I wear it.

Fur

When the weather is cold you can't beat the warmth that you get from fur. I am the biggest weakling when it comes to cold weather and you can't beat the cosy feeling from being able to hug some fur!

The fur gilet is black with very subtle interjections of blue, which is a subtle way to add a pop of colour to your outfit. It's faux-fur, and has fastens so you can shut it.

The fur coat is made from rabbit fur. Just to clarify, I'd never buy real fur, but this was handed down to me from my mum. I think when a coat is vintage and already exists then it's different to supporting the fur industry. Haters gon' hate I'm sure, but I've had this coat in my wardrobe now for about five years and I always look forward to wearing it. Fur coats can look equally good with jeans and a t-shirt to with a formal evening dress so they are perfect for keeping you warm.

I hope you found this post useful. If you've invested in some amazing winter coats I would love to know where you got them from. Why not send me photos to my twitter?

Here are the coats I mentioned in this post:

The trousers and boots are from New Look, and the bangle is from my own company, Whistle & Bango. By the way the trousers are fake leather and everyone always asks me if they are designer because they fit so well and look so real, and they're only £25!

Wrap up warm, and until next time... x
